An invitation to
deepen the love affair with your body and your life
A way of teaching that is rooted in your experience of the present moment
The Yin Akademie offers trainings, workshops, and retreats in Yoga and Bodywork that invite you to tap into the deeper bodies of wisdom that we carry as human beings.
The Yin Akademie approach intends to (re)connect you to your intuitive intelligence so that you do not need to rely on or be limited by what you have been taught only, but that you can hear, trust and act upon what you feel and know too.
It is only from a centred, present place within ourselves that integrates both our intuitive wisdom and our acquired knowledge and experience, that we are able to be a vessel and inspiration for truth, authenticity, growth and connection to others.
Three principles of the
Yin approach
The Yin approach is rooted in the feminine principle, which is accessible via our intuition and speaks the language of energy. It is a language of listening and feeling deeply. In the Yin akademie the principles of listening and feeling are incorporated in all the offerings and is complemented and backed up by a healthy masculine principle of taking responsibility and the right action.
Listening
Practicing the art of truly listening means to learn to be present with your current experience in the moment and to develop observer consciousness to hear and read what is really alive in your body, in others and in a bigger field.
Feeling
Giving space to allow and express sensations, emotions and feelings that come up in the present moment to move through, release and let go of anything that is in the way of your clarity, truth and wisdom. It is all about getting into the body.
Acting
Taking responsibility by backing up the clarity, truth and wisdom with the right action. In order for change, growth and transformation to happen, you need to bring into action what has been revealed. This literally means, moving the body.
Using the knowledge and experience of the
traditions, masters & teachers
Living and teaching the Yin approach has only been possible, because of the past 25 years of gaining experience, expertise and knowledge in the field of Yoga, Ayurveda, Chinese Medicine, Massage, Mindfulness Meditation and Cellular Transformation. The wisdom and knowledge passed on by traditions, masters and teachers in these fields have inspired me immensely and continue to do so in my never ending journey of personal transformation and growth. Below I share briefly how the different paths and wisdom teachings have inspired and impacted the way I work with people as of today.
Yoga
Through many travels to India and my love for meditation, I discovered Yoga. For me, Yoga is a wonderful way to bring focus, mindfulness, and presence into movement and the present moment. It’s my way of feeling spirit through the body and breath, through prayer, chant, and silence—and this is where my passion comes in. This is what I want to share with you. The outer Yoga deals with ethics, the body & breath awareness. The inner Yoga moves into the path of meditation. Let’s practice both. Ultimately, Yoga, to me means love in action, and I don’t use these big words lightly. It’s a deeply personal journey of exploration that has been unfolding for the past 25 years. It’s about finding freedom and space within the structures of Yoga, and I always invite my students to inquire into the outer form. Please reach out to me, if you want to know where I teach right now.
Chinese Medicine
Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) is an ancient system of health care. Rooted in the philosophy of balance and harmony, TCM views the body as a dynamic system of interconnected parts, each contributing to overall health. The primary goal of TCM is to maintain the body's balance of Qi (vital energy), Yin and Yang (the complementary forces of nature), and the Five Elements (Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water), which are believed to correspond to different aspects of the body, emotions, and the environment. Unlike Western medicine, which often focuses on treating symptoms, TCM takes a holistic approach, to help us understand how our system -BODY-MIND-EMOTIONS is always connected. Personally, though TCM, I gained so much more sensitivity, understanding and interest that also touched my Yogapractice profoundly.
Ayurveda
Ayurveda is the ancient Indian wisdom for a long and healthy life. Here we can learn to read our Energy and how it forms our constitution ( Dosha). In my Ayurveda trainings in India and Europe, I personally experienced a whole new understanding of healing as Ayurveda works profoundly on physical, psychological, and mental layers. the invitation is to understand who you are and eat, act and live accordingly and you feel what balance is. Balance gives health and happiness. I am regularly invited to give lectures and workshops on topics such as "The Basics of Ayurveda," "Lifestyle & Ayurveda," and "Yoga and Ayurveda" in running 200/300 hour Yoga Teachertrainings
I also love to offer classic Ayurveda oil treatment, herbal scrubs, oil pours, and much more. Check the One on One section for amazing treatments.
Massage Treatments
Massage treatments help us give our body full attention and love. Tensions are recognized and brought into movement. My techniques range from powerful, deep, warming, holding, and connecting touch. Touch is a silent and profound matter of the heart—a way to truly meet and receive the other person. I began offering private sessions in 1999 and have assisted in professional massage trainings for many years. In 2010, I gave my first massage training at the Thalamus Heilpraktikerschule in Cologne, and I have been offering training every year since. With Rachana Wolff I created Living Touch Massage Training, a holistic approach into the art of touch. Please check in for treatments in Cologne, Mallorca etc.
Mindfulness Meditation
Mindful meditation, as taught by my teachers Tara Brach and Jack Kornfield, focuses on cultivating awareness, presence, and compassion in every moment. This practice helps us connect deeply with our inner world, fostering peace, clarity, and insight. It’s a wonderful addition to OSHO Meditations who invite us to meditate with activity and movement. In the end technics meet as a doorway for Spirit. It invite you to be yourself, to love yourself and live with an awakened heart. I very much enjoy to share talks and sitting with my online community as well as in workshops.
Please see my offerings in my calendar as well as in the online section.
Cellular Transformation
Cellular Transformation by Jennifer Millar is a powerful and authentic healing process that teaches you how to relate to the Creative Intelligence of our Universe in a way that is direct, instant, personal, and transformative.
At DIMA Mallorca, a conscious community where I am part of the team, we have learned and continue to learn to model how an intimate relationship with the universal language of energy (the Tao) is practiced.
The ability to read, trust, and follow energy in each moment of life, is the key to deep healing and self-realisation.

“Presence is a state of inner spaciousness from which only truth can arise. ”
— Eckhart Tolle
structure and creativity
A unique blend of
In all the trainings, workshops and retreats I involve all three intelligence centers; the head, heart and hara.
I provide enough structure to tailor the mind and provide focus and grounding for people, but leave enough space and openness for spontaneity, creativity and playfulness to arise in the moment.
Teaching is so much more fun, alive and worthwhile when we are able to open up to the place I call Not-knowing and let ourselves be surprised by the truth and magic of the moment.
Especially in the world of yoga and meditation, it can soon feel quite serious, right? Also here, People might look for a goal to reach or might get lost in the endless task of self-improvement. There is still so much pressure everywhere …. to become better.
Structure and discipline may be needed some times in our lifes. To practice sincerely breath awareness or the right posture for example, is great. Yet I also want to remind you to relax, to trust and to feel a deeper sense of belonging without so much doing and striving.
I therefore love to offer myself, and the work that I so wholeheartedly share with people, with both: structure and creativity. To touch both stillness and passion within ourselves. To be both sincere in what we do and playful.
To feel the joy and the aliveness in the (re)connection to all the parts of who we are and not just in aspects that we judge as our ‘good ‘parts. So let’s drop down and get real.

Testimonials
Some kind words
Suzie Lebrun - Freiburg
“Vira simply has this incredible talent to meet each person exactly where they are. Even in group work, you feel personally addressed and cared for. In yoga, bodywork, and now also in the online fasting week, her joy and naturalness in incorporating the effects of the organs and meridians into her yoga classes make you become more aware of the depth of the asanas and inspire you to deepen your own yoga practice. She conveys all of this with ease, a wink, and, at the same time, with full respect for the traditions.”
Barbara - Yin Yoga Teacher Training
“In a very empathetic way, the course offered everything it promised and so much more: learning, experiencing and doing... in a really great group. Vira made it possible that I enjoy Yin Yoga classes so much more. Because of her I feel so much more curiosity and desire to delve deeper into the many different topics … so now, I really have something to do. :-) Namaste!”
